Lesson 1.3 - Core Responsibilities

The core responsibility of the Dealing Room is to keep observing whether the trading environment is operating normally, and to verify, record, escalate and follow up when exceptions appear.

Core Monitoring Areas

Area Dealer Should Watch
Platform Login, server status, session status and order processing
Quotes Bid / Ask, spread, price updates and chart behavior
Bridge Queue, routing, timeout, reject and abnormal logs
Exposure Symbol exposure, concentration and risk movement
Incident Time, scope, evidence, action and next update
Handover Open items, evidence location and next responsible person

Junior Dealer Boundary

Junior Dealers may monitor, collect evidence, record and escalate. Junior Dealers should not independently change production settings, client conditions, permissions, risk parameters or system configuration.

Standard Actions

  1. Observe the signal.
  2. Verify with at least one reliable source.
  3. Save evidence.
  4. Record time, symbol, account scope and impact.
  5. Notify the Shift Leader or responsible person when required.
  6. Leave a clear handover if the item is still open.

Practical Training

Scenario:

Bridge sound alerts show several large XAUUSD orders. One account closes positions quickly within a short period. Client Terminal charts look normal.

The Dealing Room does not create value by guessing direction. It creates value by seeing problems early, proving facts clearly and keeping operational risk under control.
