Lesson 4.8 - Chapter Review¶
Chapter 4 trains Dealers to handle risk signals with evidence and authority boundaries. The point is not to act just because risk is visible. The point is to confirm facts, assess impact, notify the right Shift Leader / follow-up and ensure any material control action is approved and recorded.
Chapter Review¶
- Internal risk and Exposure control.
- Exposure, concentration and event windows.
- Alerts, escalation and evidence requirements.
- Configuration change control.
- Incident severity and response.
- Client fairness boundaries.
- Quote-source health and execution quality.
- Risk handover and operational continuity.
Scenario Output¶
Fifteen minutes before CPI, XAUUSD net client long rises quickly and the top three client groups represent 66% of the main direction. Some accounts repeat trades within a short period. Bridge queue is normal, but Quote Source B latency increases and slippage begins to widen. A symbol configuration change is pending approval.
Produce a risk review and escalation record.

Behavior Standard¶
- Verify Exposure, client-group concentration, quote-source status, Bridge queue, slippage and event timing first.
- Do not change client trading conditions just because company risk impact is under pressure.
- Configuration, spread, leverage, symbol control and client restrictions must follow the approved authority process.
- Notify the Shift Leader if the trend continues, the event is near or client impact is unclear.
- Separate facts, judgment and requested action in the update.
Example Output¶
Time: 15 minutes before CPI
Risk summary: XAUUSD net long is rising quickly. Top three client groups represent 66% of the main direction. Quote Source B latency is elevated and slippage is beginning to widen.
Exposure / concentration: Net direction is concentrated. Top groups, order size and position change require continued review.
Quote-source and execution status: Bridge queue normal. Quote Source B latency above normal. Slippage beginning to widen.
Event window: CPI is imminent; spread and order execution conditions may deteriorate further.
Confirmed facts: Concentration rising, Quote Source B performance degraded, one configuration change pending approval.
Actions not allowed independently: No self-directed symbol configuration, client-condition, spread, leverage or risk-control changes.
Current action: Enhanced monitoring of XAUUSD Exposure, pending orders, quote-source status, Bridge queue and large orders.
Confirmation needed from: Shift Leader and authorized risk lead.
Escalation trigger: Exposure concentration continues, client orders are affected, quote-source degradation expands, multiple signals deteriorate or pending change requires decision.
Next update: Before the event or immediately upon material change.
Pass Standard¶
The trainee should turn risk signals into a reviewable operating record and explain which actions may be monitored and which require authorization.
