Connection Status

What is this?

The live health view for enabled Taker, Maker, Trading Platform and CRM links. Taker and Maker Quote/Trade directions are separate monitored links.

When do I use it?

At shift start, after a connection alert, and whenever quotes, orders or synchronised data appear interrupted.

What should I look at?

Connection, Traffic, Type, Protocol, Status and Last heartbeat. Identify the exact link and traffic direction; do not merge a healthy Quote link with a failed Trade link.

What is normal?

Required links show Connected and a fresh heartbeat. An intentionally Disabled link is an administrative state and is excluded from health counts.

What looks wrong?

Disconnected, an ageing heartbeat, repeated reconnect evidence, or a pattern affecting several links. Runtime status is only Connected or Disconnected; do not invent a Partial state.

What do I do next?

Record the link, traffic direction, status, relative and absolute heartbeat time, and affected downstream observations. Check one related quote or order-flow view and continue monitoring.

When do I escalate?

Escalate an unexplained required-link disconnect, client impact, multiple related failures, or uncertainty at shift start. Connection Status is read-only; configuration and recovery actions belong to authorised personnel.

Quick Check

A Maker Quote link is disconnected while Trade is connected. Report the Quote link as affected, with its Last heartbeat; do not report the whole connection as fully down.
